利益団体

そういえば，「映画」と「生活」ってカテゴリをぜんぜん活用していない。というわけで（って別にいいんだけど）。年末に相方さんと二人でプチ忘年会をしたときに前から見ようと思ってた『ナイロビの蜂』を見る。いやまあ利益団体っていうのはこういう風に政策形成に食い込むのね，とか思わせる場面もありつつ。映画自体は，アフリカが貧困にある状況と，それを利用しようとする先進国（の利益団体？）と言う構図を基底にしながら，「援助」の孕むいろいろな問題を描いたいい作品だったと思う。しかし製薬業界っていうのはやっぱり特殊な業界なんだなぁ。研究開発投資をマネジメントすることが限りなく難しい中で，その投資こそが生命線になるというのは…。
まあ映画自体もかなり面白かったのですが，僕は一箇所バカウケ。

場面は仕事のために忙しい奥さんとなかなか会話の時間が取れない主人公が，奥さんに対して「体壊すからとりあえず今日は寝なよ」っていうシーン。いやー。どっかで聞いたことある話やな…と二人で大笑い。

Justin(夫，以下J): Hi.
Tessa(妻，以下T): Hi.
J: It's bloody awful weather.
T: You really shouldn't have waited up.
J: Good. Then I think you should go to bed.
T: I'm safe home now, sweetheart.
J: No, you're drenched. Look, take those wet things off. Tessa, come to bed with me, please.
T: Yeah, I- I will, but there's, um, something I have to do first. It's important.
J: Tessa, whatever it is that you and Arnold（Tessaと働く医者）are doing, I'd like it to stop.
T: Wow. Who have you been talking to?
J: No one. These are my concerns, all right? I'm thinking of your health.
T: No. No, you're not. They（夫の上司たち）'ve asked you to rein me in, and you're doing it. It's just unbelievable.
J: What the hell are you talking about? I hope you know me better than that. Your life is your own. That was always our agreement.
T: No. No, no. The agreement was... that my work was gonna be my own. That's what makes me who I am. I mean, if you stop me from doing my work, then I am nothing. I'm just nobody. L-
J: I'm not trying to stop you doing anything. Please.
T: I'm sorry. I'm just tired. That's all. Very tired.
J: Then come to bed.
T: Hmm? Will you get me up for breakfast? I've got to finish my report.
